Aging in Place–The Woodlands is a 501 (C) (3) organization designed to enable members to remain in their homes as they grow older. We are patterned after similar successful programs already operating in hundreds of communities around the country.
The Founders Committee was made up of representatives from five Woodlands' villages. All had considerable expertise and have served on various community boards in The Woodlands and elsewhere.
Basically we are offering services that you would ask a neighbor to help you with.
There is no place like home. The vast majority of us will enjoy long lives in the comfort of our own home. Research has shown that people are happiest in familiar surroundings as they age. Help us foster a local culture of neighbors caring and sharing.
What we offer
Our services include transportation, in-home support/repairs, home safety evaluations, and social/educational information. As our membership grows, we hope to open an office with a full/part-time executive director to assist in serving members, promoting volunteer engagement, raising funds, monitoring budgets, and maintaining personal contact with members and vendors.
How you can help
Join us as a member or a volunteer to help with the services and programs we will offer to help seniors continue to live in their own homes as long as possible.
Volunteers can be involved in many of the services we provide to clients, such as: minor home repairs/assistance/safety inspections, checking in on clients, light housekeeping/gardening chores, transportation of clients, and/or telephone/scheduling support. When you register as a volunteer, you will get to choose the areas in which you are interested!

Become a donor. If you do not want to be a member or do not have time to volunteer but want to make a difference, we gladly accept donations in any amount, large or small. We are non-profit and operate as a virtual office. Regardless of our low expenses, we still need money for insurance, software, bank fees, printing, postage, phone and related costs of setting up and maintaining programs and services. Donations
Ask to become a member or volunteer and choose services you are interested in giving or receiving. We also welcome pro-bono legal or fiduciary assistance. Please send us an email using the “Contact Us” tab above and we will have a volunteer assist you. Or call 281-845-4441
